Cinematic Photographer Toronto

As a Toronto-based photographer, I’m most drawn to images that feel like they belong in a movie you walked into halfway through. My gallery is a mix of cinematic portraits, moody scenes, dramatic lighting, and quiet little visual stories. I’m inspired by photographers and filmmakers who know how to turn everyday spaces into something strange, beautiful, and a little mysterious. Artists like Philip-Lorca diCorcia and Gregory Crewdson are big ones for me. I love rich colours, deep shadows, thoughtful composition, and that feeling where a photo makes you wonder what happened five minutes before or what’s about to happen next. A lot of my work leans into isolation, intimacy, humour, and atmosphere… sometimes all at once, because apparently I like making things complicated. I often prefer ambient light, practical light sources, and natural environments over big studio setups, which helps the images feel cinematic but still grounded and real. Whether I’m shooting editorial portraits, album covers, creative concepts, or just making someone look like the main character in their own beautifully lit drama, my goal is always to create photographs that feel timeless, artistic, and a little unexpected. If you’re looking for a Toronto photographer with a cinematic eye, a moody streak, and a healthy appreciation for weird little moments, you’re in the right place.
